Junior Program
Ages: 5-8
Build upon basic skills, introducing more structured drills and small-sided games to encourage teamwork and skill development.
Program Structure:
Warm-up: ​
Dynamic stretches (high knees, butt kicks) and a light jog around the field.
Short dribbling and passing exercises to get children active.

Skill Development :
Dribbling: Introduce changes of direction and speed while dribbling (e.g., zig-zag cones).
Passing: Introduce passing with both feet in pairs, focusing on accuracy.
Shooting: Teach basic shooting techniques, encouraging players to strike with the laces.
Ball Control: Short control drills using the inside and outside of the foot.

Small-Sided Games :
3v3 or 4v4 Games: Focus on teamwork, passing, and positioning.
Coaches should emphasize spacing and communication during the game.

Cool Down:
Light jogging, stretching, and relaxation exercises.
Brief group discussion on what they learned and had fun with.
